The world economic situation demanded the drop, Baroness de Rothschild told decanter.com. ‘It has nothing to do with quality and everything to do with the world market, which is in a very bad situation.

By Jancis Robinson - The trouble with the 2008 vintage Bordeaux that I tasted last week, along with many from Britain and Asia though fewer from the US, is that it looks really rather good - certainly very much better than the wildly overpriced 2007s, even though last year’s summer was scarcely more propitious.

Französischer Wein auf dem Weltmarkt - Anteil schrumpft

Nachrichten.ch und auch swissinfo.org schreiben, dass laut dem aktuellen Weinmarktbericht der Anteil französischer Weine auf dem Weltmarkt rückläufig ist. In den letzten 15 Jahren sei der Marktanteil von 29 Prozent auf 18 Prozent gesunken.
